“ They sold me a 2025 BMW M2 telling me it had high flow cats and a previous piggy back system. After having transmission issues it turns out the car is completely catless, full blown tuned, and I have no manufacturers warranty due to the full tune/unlocked ECU. The BMW dealership is charging me $16,000 and change to replace said transmission, and my manufacturers warranty is gone due to the previous owner. Kevin Pohanka was nice enough to tell me to pound sand over the phone and didn’t want to offer any help of negotiations stating the sale “as is” which doesn’t apply when they break federal laws. Avoid this roach nest by all means possible, unless legal battles are something that get you going. ”

“ A nightmare experience dealing with this particular dealership. I have always driven Volkswagen besides a brief stint with Lexus. I came to Pohanka after years of being with Karen Radley in Woodbridge and I can say the quality of service and competence lacks significantly at Pohanka. I went in purchase my lease vehicle this morning and they could not clearly define or articulate what the list of fees were related to. They’ve either been poorly trained or miseducated to give a blanket answer of “those are Maryland state imposed fees”. A simple Google search will clearly tell you which dealer fees are required by the state which are elected by the dealer with legal limits. There were vague “obligatory fees” and all they did was pass responsibility for explaining those fees to VW Credit who in turn said the dealer should be the one to outline the reason for those fees. I never got a clear answer on why I was paying an additional “outstanding obligations fee” when I’ve never been late, missed a payment or ignored a fine. A monkey in the middle tactic that has you bouncing back and forth for a simple answer. The staff at the dealership could have called the dealer service line to get the necessary information but opted for the well known salesman run around to waste your time instead of just closing the deal with a buyer who was obviously ready to get the deal done if they could lay out clear financing numbers and terms. This is the 3rd time I’ve have issues with this particular dealership and their deceptive tactics or poor customer care. I also, had to pay to have the vehicle certified preowned for the purchase according to the dealership though it was a waste since I will not be purchasing anything from them after the interaction with the sales staff this morning. Very disappointed but can’t say it wasn’t expected. Go anywhere but to Pohanka. Lack of professionalism, transparency and integrity! ”

“ Brutal experience. Was working with a salesperson (and apparently a manager) who put an offer in on my vehicle. Drive the 40 minutes to the dealership for a full appraisal, only to told they don't purchase vehicles there and I had wasted my time coming down. ”
