I came into Pohanka VW two days ago with my sister, only looking to test drive a 2019 VW Tiguan. I was aware that this dealership did not have the car with the color combination I thought I wanted with all the feature I knew I wanted. I was greeted by Josue “Sway” Febres. Sway was personable, knowledgeable, and honest. Knowing what I wanted and didn’t want, he was willing to do whatever he needed to do to make sure I got what I wanted. After test driving the Tiguan, I immediately loved it, but realized I didn’t love the color I thought I wanted. Sway helped me to narrow down my options and gave me space to figure out exactly what I wanted. At the end of the day (and I mean very end of the day...he stay 2 hours beyond closing) I LOVE my car, and I have a new friend in Sway! If you’re looking for a VW, come to Pohanka VW and be sure to ask for Sway...you will not be disappointed!

I wish I could give 20 stars...... I had my car towed to this location because my 2013 shut down on me. Andrea with services kept me updated at all times. She was patient, she was honest and so helpful. Well, my car transmission had issue. I was completely uninterested in investing in a transmission for that car... Andrea Referred me LARRY YOUNG. That man has over 20+ Years of sales. HE KNOWS HIS STUFF... he didn’t try to sale me, he cared about my situation, he sympathized with me, he treated as if my dad with at the dealership with me lol. I wasn’t “hoodwinked” Lol and he didn’t allow anyone to try and convince anything at all..... i didn’t think i would be able to drove off the lot with a car... I’m just in owe of the service I received last week. I drove off with a new 2019 Jetta with only 9 miles on it. I don’t even have the right words to express my gratitude for this team. To top it off, that same night, Mr Larry called to make sure I made it home safe. Has been available for all questions and concerns... and I absolutely love my car!!! THANKS LARRY, thanks Andrea. Sept 24, I made my purchase, the car is great but the service made the deal. I walked in this establishment thinking “there is nothing they could do for me.” But, boy was I wrong. I dealt with the sales manager Jasonte Hicks and he was the absolute BEST! He was attentive, informative and very knowledgeable. He took his time to explain everything to me and I really appreciated it. I’ve also dealt with Andrew Kelly and Charles Carrington who were an absolute breath of fresh air! They both are absolutely friendly, welcoming and attentive. A month ago I visited Pohanka VW to look at an upgrade of my son's Jetta that I saw on line. Even though it was her off day (Sunday), Terry Jackson met me at the dealership and provided exemplary service and a great deal on a 2019 Jetta for my son. I was so impressed and pleased that I called my daughter to come there because I planned to purchase a 2019 Honda Civic for her. Again, Terry was outstanding as she took me next door to Pohanka Honda and she & Shavon Deal, excellent Honda salesperson, provided a great deal and superior service on the 2019 Civic that my daughter chose. All were happy after a few hours on that Sunday in July 2019! I wish Pohanka Hyundai (next door) had the Genesis G 80 I wanted, I would have let Terry take me next door there also. I got that car somewhere else the next day but the sales service was 'crappy'.

As someone working in a client-centric profession myself, I value the client/customer experience. My trip to this dealership on Saturday exceeded my expectations on this front and for the first time I had a very pleasant experience at a car dealership. Benjamin, Christopher, and the two managers that came to speak to me were extremely professional and attentive. It all began on April 27. My husband was in the market for a new car (I was not). He wanted a GTI (I already had a 2011 GTI). So what did we do -- we went to Pohanka VW to see what they had on the lot, for him of course. As we are walking around, I see a sales person walking towards us, and I told my husband to book it LOL If this sales person wanted us, he would have to chase us (some sales people are just pushy and I just didn't want to deal with it). Alas, Christopher caught us and was super pleasant, not at all pushy, and personable. He listened to what we had to say, and opened up the only GTI they had on the lot for us to check out. My husband decided that I should sit in the driver seat -- it was all over from there for me. Here's where it got tricky, for Pohanka that is, me and my husband both knew EXACTLY what we wanted. The color, the addons, everything. We left without a car, but with a mission for Christopher and Jasonte -- to find us the cars we want. Fast forward to Monday, April 29. They found BOTH of our cars, which was no easy feat! (mine was a unicorn because of the color and it needed to be automatic). They were going to be transported to the dealership from their respective locations on the 30th. We went in Monday, did the deal with trading our cars, signed all of the paperwork, and both of us became proud owners of 2019 GTIs. Jay, in finance, was wonderful, kept things simple, didn't try to push worthless addons on us and got us out as quickly as possible! Here, things get a bit hairy, BUT will a positive outcome. Tuesday night we picked up our shiny new cars! It was exciting and wonderful. My husband and I were both thrilled! Until rock chips were noticed in the hood; and the next day I noticed my sunroof was damaged. We were both disappointed -- brand new 2019 cars that were damaged?! AND we had to point it out? Okay -- so here I will say Pohanka should have inspected the cars and made US aware of the damage (not the other way around). No one spending any amount of money on a brand new car should receive it with any amount of damage. However, they made it right. Jasonte took care of ensuring my husbands hood was fixed (they tried touch up paint, but it looked awful and ended up painting the whole hood -- it was nicely done in the end). My sunroof -- I initially went to my normal dealership, but things were taking WAY too long with them. When my husband shared with me the wonderful customer service he was receiving, I immediately jumped at an opportunity to give their service another shot (years prior I had a HORRIBLE experience and refused to go back). Andrea did not disappoint. My sunroof was repaired, but not 100%. The service manager, Adam, is currently working to get it all right, which I appreciate. Overall, I am thrilled with the buying and service experience. Everything that was wrong they are making right, with no cost to us (which is how it should be). We got everything we wanted, for what we wanted. It was truly an exceptional buying experience. Jay, in finance, was wonderful, kept things simple, didn't try to push worthless addons on us and got us out as quickly as possible! Here, things get a bit hairy, BUT will a positive outcome. Tuesday night we picked up our shiny new cars! It was exciting and wonderful. My husband and I were both thrilled! Until rock chips were noticed in the hood; and the next day I noticed my sunroof was damaged. We were both disappointed -- brand new 2019 cars that were damaged?! AND we had to point it out? Okay -- so here I will say Pohanka should have inspected the cars and made US aware of the damage (not the other way around). No one spending any amount of money on a brand new car should receive it with any amount of damage. However, they made it right. Jasonte took care of ensuring my husbands hood was fixed (they tried touch up paint, but it looked awful and ended up painting the whole hood -- it was nicely done in the end). My sunroof -- I initially went to my normal dealership, but things were taking WAY too long with them. When my husband shared with me the wonderful customer service he was receiving, I immediately jumped at an opportunity to give their service another shot (years prior I had a HORRIBLE experience and refused to go back). Andrea did not disappoint. My sunroof was repaired, but not 100%. The service manager, Adam, is currently working to get it all right, which I appreciate. Overall, I am thrilled with the buying and service experience. Everything that was wrong they are making right, with no cost to us (which is how it should be). We got everything we wanted, for what we wanted. It was truly an exceptional buying experience.
