2024 Volkswagen Tiguan Maintenance Schedule
2024 Volkswagen Tiguan Maintenance Schedule
The 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan is crafted for long-term reliability, but to keep it performing at its best, regular maintenance is essential. Routine service tasks not only extend your Tiguan’s lifespan but also ensure your peace of mind. By bringing your SUV in for scheduled check-ups, our skilled technicians can identify and resolve potential issues early, preventing them from escalating into more significant problems and saving you time and money.
10,000-Mile Maintenance
According to the Volkswagen maintenance schedule, your 2024 Tiguan recommends minor maintenance every 10,000 miles. If you drive in severe weather, tow a trail often, or otherwise operate the vehicle under more rigorous than average conditions, more frequent maintenance may be advisable (when in doubt, ask your service advisor). This visit is straightforward, consisting of a tire rotation and oil (and oil filter) change.
20,000-Mile Maintenance
This will be a repeat of the 10,000-mile service (tire rotation and oil change). If your Tiguan has a sunroof, the drains need to be cleaned and inspected for blockage at this service interval (every 20,000 miles or 2 years, whichever occurs first).
30,000-Mile Maintenance
For this appointment, technicians repeat the 10,000-mile minor maintenance schedule, consisting of an engine oil/filter change and tire rotation.
40,000-Mile Maintenance
This service combines the 10,000- and 20,000-mile visits, with a couple of additional tasks:
- change engine oil/filter
- rotate tires
- clean sunroof drains and lubricate panoramic sliding sunroof
- replace in-cabin air filter replacement (every 40,000 miles or two years, whichever comes first)
50,000-Mile Maintenance
This visit calls for a repeat of the 10,000-mile service, consisting of an engine oil and filter change plus a tire rotation.
60,000-Mile Maintenance
This visit repeats the 10,000- and 20,000-mile services, with one additional task: replacing the engine air filter replaced and cleaning its screen.
70,000-Mile Maintenance
As another 10,000-mile interval, this visit calls for just a tire rotation and oil change.
80,000-Mile Maintenance
Along with the 10,000-, 20,000-, and 40,000-mile services, a couple more tasks are added in at this time. Altogether, now is the time to perform the following:
- change engine oil/filter
- rotate tire
- clean sunroof drains
- replace in-cabin air filter
- clean and grease panoramic sliding sunroof
- change spark plugs
- drain and replace automatic transmission fluid
90,000-Mile Maintenance
The 90,000-mile service is simple, consisting of a tire rotation and engine oil/filter change.
100,000-Mile Maintenance
You’ve reached your first 100K miles with your Tiguan: congratulations! The 10,000- and 20,000-mile intervals will be repeated at this time. Our technicians will change the oil and perform a tire rotation. If your Tiguan has a sunroof, its drains will also be cleaned.
110,000-Mile Maintenance
Minor servicing occurs at this point, with a straightforward oil and filter change and tire rotation.
120,000-Mile Maintenance
This more extensive service interval combines the 40,000- and 60,000-mile tasks:
- rotate tires
- clean sunroof drains
- change engine oil and filter
- replace engine air filter and clean the screen
- clean and grease panorama sliding sunroof
- replace in-cabin dust/pollen filter
Post-120K Miles & Time-Based Services
Your Tiguan has been built for longevity, and continued maintenance will keep it running well through more significant milestones. After 120,000 miles, the same task intervals apply, with a few additional requirements recommended, as well as time-based services. For example:
- Replace coolant pump toothed belt every 180,000 miles.
- Change AWD clutch fluid (if equipped) every 3 years.
- Replace tire filler bottle in mobility kit every 4 years.
- Change brake fluid every 2 years (after the first 3 years).
