SE
Despite its entry-level status, the SE comes with an abundance of high-level amenities. On the convenience front, it boasts adaptive LED headlights, heated power-adjustable side mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, roof rails, VW’s customizable digital gauge cluster (Digital Cockpit Pro), wireless phone charging, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, four USB-C charging ports, proximity keyless entry, and a 60/40-split folding rear seatback.
This trim’s comfort-focused features consist of dual-zone automatic climate control, heated and ventilated front seats, a synthetic leather-wrapped steering wheel, and perforated V-Tex synthetic-leather upholstery. What’s more, it has an advanced infotainment system with a 12-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, HD Radio, SiriusXM satellite radio, and Bluetooth hands-free phone/audio streaming. Car-Net connected services can be accessed using the myVW app. Volkswagen also outfits the SE with an array of standard driver-assist technologies, including adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and driver attention monitoring.
SE with Technology
The SE with Technology takes sophistication even further with an illuminated light bar that stretches across the front and rear of the vehicle, plus a hands-free liftgate, front and rear parking sensors, remote start, a trailer hitch, and a 115V power outlet.
SEL and SEL R-Line
The SEL steps up the luxury with heated washer nozzles, a panoramic sunroof, a power-adjustable front passenger’s seat, position memory settings (for the side mirrors and driver’s seat), a head-up display, leather upholstery, multi-color ambient interior lighting, heated second-row outboard seats, and built-in navigation. Its safety suite is enhanced with dynamic road sign display and automatic high beams.
The SEL R-Line has the same upscale amenities as the SEL, but with extra emphasis on sporty looks.
SEL Premium R-Line
At the lineup’s peak, the SEL Premium R-Line gets power-folding side-view mirrors with passenger-side reverse gear tilt-down, upgraded leather upholstery with perforation, a Harman Kardon audio system, an automatic parking system, and a surround-view monitor.
